• Hi I recently migrated the hosting server for my website and now I get an error message at the very top of my screen:

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘et_add_viewport_meta’ not found or invalid function name in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas07_data01/35/2730535/html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 503.

I’m kin of a novice when it comes to coding and wordpress so was wondering if this is something simple to fix or if I would have to contact the developers again to get it fixed.

    Thank you

  • I think I’d start by deactivating your plugins and see if that stops the error, it looks like a plugin problem.

I disabled each plugin one by one, error still there.

You could have a compatibility issue of some sort with the theme you’re using. It looks like there might be a mobile zoom function that’s causing a problem. Temporarily change themes and see if the symptom goes away.

Changed the theme but error message still there.

Not to seem unreasonably persistent, but the function it’s looking for seems to be related to a responsive design feature found in some WordPress themes designed by ElegantThemes.

Just to be absolutely certain, if you first disable all of your plugins, then switch to the default WordPress theme, then clear any caching features you might be using and recheck the site, can you change the symptom in any way at all?

Live previewing the twenty fifteen theme doesnt seem to show the error now.

The error warning says call user func array,so would it be wise to delete or uncheck boxes in the themse customize section that relate to phone numbers or?

First check and see if there is an updated version of the theme you’ve been using, or if there has been any other reports or discussions of similar errors in the support section for that theme.
