After I have migrated a site to a new server I get the below message
Plugin(s) listed here was deactivated during installation, Please activate them

The plugin is WP Bakery which I have deleted as I am getting a new template.
As the plug-in no longer exists I cannot activate it. How can I remove that warning message?

  • Hey @rtenny,

You should be able to just ignore the message. When the plugin was uninstalled it may have not removed all its references to the Database. Duplicator simply sets a flag so to set it as deactivated but if it’s not there then you should be ok.

    Hope that helps~

I have ignore the message and all is fine, its just a bit annoying to have this message there now for ever. Where is the flag set? Can I manually reset that in the database somewhere?

    Hi @rtenny,

OK, I see… Thxs for the clarification! You might try to temporarily install the bakery plugin then delete it to see if the message goes away. If that still doesn’t work I would recommend uninstalling Duplicator and if reinstalled it should go away.

    Thanks~

Uninstalling did not help. I install the composer but the plugin in the old template has a different name/folder so this did not work either. I did find an old backup copied the folder and then managed to get rid of the message. I think you should have a way to dismiss the message rather then having to do all these step to remove an irrelevant message.
I also want to let you know that I am super happy with the plugin and your support. I have been using it for many years and always works great.

Thank you for the feedback @rtenny!

We’ll see if we can find a way to dismiss the message in a future release, this is the first time I can recall having this issue.
