  • I am getting the same thing except that I have an independent MySQL database that is getting hit with 30+ writes per second of Elementor logger info. It killed my database last night and I’ve had to rebuild it and disable Elementor completely. If I reenable it, the database writes start again. Disable it and it stops, so it is obviously related to this.

    Hi
    this happens when I throw a cron wp-cron.php
    He does all the tasks well, but in the end he sends me the warning.
    I’m going to follow it closely because it did not happen before and it may be that some update caused it, example Elementor 2.4.1
    regards

    @aixos

    Looks like the 2.4.1 update is the culprit. I got this message this morning from Elementor support:

    We are aware of this issue. A fix has been already prepared and it will be sent today via a new update of Elementor.
    In the table wp_options of your database, you will have to delete the entry “elementor_log”. You can do it for you if you send us access to the database of the website.

    Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

    Hi , @aerospiegel

    In the wp_options table of my database
    I deleted the entry “elementor_log”
    then I executed the cron, and the warning comes back

    PHP: showing 1 of 1
    PHP: 2019-01-20 18:11:03 [warning X 1][/home2/adert/public_html/dinos/wp-admin/includes/file.php::168] closedir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given [array (
    ‘trace’ => ‘
    #0: Elementor\Core\Logger\Manager -> shutdown()
    ‘,
    )]

    I hope with the next update this warning will be solved
    regards

    @aixos

    Yes, it will likely come back each and every time until the new update is published. There is an option in Elementor to rollback to 2.3.8. You can find it under Elementor->Tools->Version Control. I did that to stop the error logging to the database since it was crashing mine and it worked temporarily. Awaiting the fix hopefully today.

    And just as I posted the last one, I noticed that 2.4.2 is now available. I just updated and have been watching the logs and database writes for the past few minutes and it looks good. I’d go ahead and update to that ASAP.

    Hi, @aerospiegel

    it’s true, it’s already solved
    this is what I have now:

    Log: showing 1 of 1
    2019-01-20 19:22:32 [info] Elementor data updater process has been completed. [array (
    ‘plugin’ => ‘Elementor’,
    ‘from’ => ‘2.4.1’,
    ‘to’ => ‘2.4.2’,
    )]

    the solution has been very fast
    regards
