    BackWPup war das beste Backup-Plugin, das es gab, bis zur Version 4.1.7. Es war ganz einfach und quasi mit einem Klick möglich, ein Datenbank-Update zu erstellen, das man dann downloaden konnte. Ich habe das Plugin auf diversen Kunden-Projekten installiert und für alle war diese Backup-Lösung einfach und unkompliziert.

    Version 5.x ist ein Horror und ich verstehe beim besten Willen nicht, was das Ganze soll. Ich habe es gestern nicht hinbekommen, überhaupt nur ein Backup zu erstellen, geschweige denn einfach nur mal schnell ein Backup der Datenbank. Wenn nicht schnell ein Update kommt oder vielleicht auch eine Idee seitens der Entwickler, wo man eigentlich mit BackWPup hin will, sehe ich mich leider gezwungen, das Plugin auf allen Sites, die ich betreue, zu deinstallieren.

    We are very sorry to hear that version 5 has been a disappointment and that it’s impacting your workflow on customer projects. Our intention with the update was to streamline the process, but we understand it hasn’t met the needs of many of our users.

    Regarding the one-click database download, while it’s not immediately available, you can still back up your database by navigating to the Settings page and using the dropdown in the backup history section. We acknowledge this isn’t the exact experience you were used to, but we are working on making improvements in this area.

    Our team is committed to delivering an updated version that retains the straightforward functionality you and your customers have appreciated. In the meantime, if you prefer the previous version while we work on improvements, you can revert to 4.1.7 here.
