WC database version out of sync

I recently updated my woocommerce plugin from version 4.3.3 to 4.8.
It prompted me to perform the database update and I did initiate that process but after some time I went back into the system and checked the Woocommerce status screen. It reported the WC version as 4.8 but the database version states 4.5.
Is this the correct version? All changelog info points to no database changes that were part of the 4.8 update but what should be displayed and how do I make sure all is well
