    Hi Support team,

We have noticed that there is a traffic drop since August 25, 2023 for the web stories. Is there any change in the plugin, or Google’s algorithm change? The web stories were supposed to appear under Google’s discover but for the past few days, there is a massive drop in the traffic.

People – let share your view on this. Are you experiencing the same?

    Thanks
    Kash

@luckynasan – thanks for your reply. I do understand there are many factors involved when we talk about traffic through search engines or Google discover however I am in suspect that the web stories are not getting tracked properly since August 25, 2023 and there is a massive drop through the web stories (more than 90% drop) and this is not a usual case.

Even when we check the realtime traffic through the GA4, we saw less than 10 views for a web story where we were getting thousands of views in the realtime after publishing the web story.

Please also note that we are using GA4 MEASUREMENT ID (G-XXXXXXXXX) to track the web stories (under web stories ‘settings’ plugin). I want to know is that still valid to track? Or should we use the Google Site Kit as this is also mentioned a way to track ? Please guide. thanks, Kash
