  • Hi there!

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We did get it fixed with an update back then, so unless a recent update is causing it again, it’s probably the result of a theme/plugin conflict.

Was the link working previously on your site? Also, are all the other export links exhibiting the same behavior?

Finally, please follow this troubleshooting guide to test for conflicts and let me know what you find.

    Best regards,

    Marho

    Hi Marho,
I just installed the plugin two weeks ago, so i can not tell about previous versions. It never worked on my site…

All the other export links also do have integrated the tribe-bar-date… section. So I guess the result would be the same.

I tested the plugin on another testpage of mine and switched to another theme.. still getting the same wrong links. Followed your troubleshooting guide and tested with different browser.. no change yet…

I even did a new clean wordpress install on another website on a different server/different host, just clean twenty twenty and event calendar… same problem.

So I got no clue… btw. I am using it in german but this should not cause a false link…

Thanks for getting back to me.

Can you share a link to your website so I try to replicate this issue on my end?

    Best regards,

    Marho

Hi Marho, I am having the same issue with my site. It breaks up the calendar so I would need 3x subscription links. Here is the link for our site.

    https://dwjunior.com/full-calendar/

If I choose “Subscribe” in August I get the link:

    webcal://dwjunior.com/?post_type=tribe_events&tribe-bar-date=2022-08-22&ical=1&eventDisplay=list

This only contains events for August and September 2022.

If I choose “Subscribe” in August, I get the link:
    webcal://dwjunior.com/?post_type=tribe_events&tribe-bar-date=2022-10&ical=1&eventDisplay=list

This contains events for the remainder of 2022. Then I need to do the same thing in January 2023 to get the events for 2023.

Should I not be able to choose “Subscribe and get all events for all months going forward?

    Kind regards,

    Dave

Sry I thought I did already post the link:
    direct Link to monthly view

    Hope you can help there…

    Hi @scarabsam

I checked the link to your calendar and the subscribe feature looks to be working as expected.

It may be the functionality of the Subscribe feature that may be confusing.

The Subscribe feature is dependent on two parameters to export events to your site visitors. There is a default limit of 30 upcoming events, plus it’s also affected by the View the site visitor is using.

    For example:
If the site visitor is on the Month View, when they subscribe, they will get that month’s upcoming events, up to the limit (30) of upcoming events.
–On your site, there is only one upcoming August event, so the subscribe button exports that one event.

If the site visitor is in the List View, there is no month “limit”, but they will get up to the limit (30 upcoming events).
–I changed your site calendar to the List view, and I can see 10 events total. When I subscribe in this view, all 10 events export. You can see this in the ICS file download from your site.

For details on this, please visit the Subscribing to and Exporting Events guide, and see how to change the default limit here.

Additionally, check out the Advanced iCal Export v2 extension, where you can make a custom export link with more options to use in a button you create. With the extension you can use a custom subscribe link to export up to a full year.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Rob
