Webfinger plugin does not work

Hi,

When i installed the plugin and activate it, the plugin does not work.

i get this message:

missing "resource" parameter

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey @marc1200 👋

you have to add a resource param like: http://induro.tech/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:[email protected]

but: it seems that your site does not have an SSL certificate and WebFinger requires https.

Hi Matthias,

We have some maintainance now, with SSL certifcate included, is also showing that message.

How do i add a resource?

As I showed in the example above http://induro.tech/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:[email protected]

See the ?resource=!

What exactly are you trying to do? Where do you see the error?

i’am trying to set up auth0 with webfinger, we want to create a account at tailscale using OIDC.

What do i have to put into the webfinger and where?

You do not have to add anything anywhere, it works out of the box! You simply checked the URL without a resource GET param.

The resource represents a user on your blog. Here is an example of your support user: http://induro.tech/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Asupport%40induro.tech

The resource of this user is acct:[email protected]. Check the user profile settings in WordPress to check the WebFinger resources for the other users.

I am having a similar struggle with this webfinger appearing/ being missing.

I just worked with the dev’s at WPMU to test it out. We tested with the ActivityPub plugin, without it. With security plugins, without them. With XML on/off. Changing pretty print permalinks from one to another. Adding .well-known directory in file system.

All same result of “403 – Forbidden access”
