Hello friends. I have updated WP Offload Media and EWWW IO. I am attempting to use Webp and preserve the original files this time. However, I am facing an issue with converting JPEGs and PNGs to WebP during uploading. Files are not altered.

Would you be able to take a look at the attached debug file and see if you can help me resolve this issue? Is there a particular option that should be enabled, or perhaps a PHP module needs to be installed to proceed? Thank you for your time and assistance.

I would start by looking at your permissions. It’s saying the permissions are insufficient. This document talks about this: https://docs.ewww.io/article/81-permissions-and-ewww-io

Note too that not all images will be converted to WebP. The system checks to make sure that the WebP version is smaller than the original and, if not, it won’t generate a WebP version (since that’s the point).

Hi there, I’m going to mark this thread as resolved since we haven’t heard anything more, but feel free to start a new one if you need further help. Thanks!
