Hello!

Thank you for this great plugin. For a new site with a lot of media, I would like to try to use the WP-Stateless plugin which makes it possible to upload and serve WordPress media files from a Google Cloud Storage bucket saving server disk space.

Has anyone one been able to accomplish this while using the WebP Express plugin ?

Have tried most setting (including CDN friendly), as well as setting wp-content/upload url to my Google Cloud storage in config.json (line 124), but no luck.

On bulk upload test, WebP finds no media (since it’s stored in the bucket).

Any help is appreciated 🙂

I was trying to achieve the same thing today..

As I didn’t find any way to make WebP Express and WP-Stateless work together, I installed LiteSpeed Cache as WP-Stateless already worked on this compatibility and LiteSpeed Cache can also create webp images.

I prefer WebP Express though, and I think it isn’t a massive change, at least checking the commits made by WP-Stateless team for LiteSpeed Cache compatibility (checked the issue here https://github.com/wpCloud/wp-stateless/issues/357)

And it seems they’re working on webp support for Imagify as well (check issue here https://github.com/wpCloud/wp-stateless/issues/403)
