    Hi @konjfuchie

This may be possible, but you’ll need to ensure that the gallery is created using webp images, and not images in jpg, png, or any other format.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

yes, but there is no way to point to webps in library, because they a made on server from jpegs!

I would have to download those webps and upload them to library as a new additional pictures ?

    Hi @konjfuchie

Yes, you would need to upload the webp images and create the galley using them instead.

The reason why it can’t work when you have the jpg images is because the optimizer will need to update the FooGallery post type or the META data as it replaces the jpgs with webp for it to reflect on the frontend, and if the optimizer is running a script on the frontend to carry out the replacement, it would have to do it before FooGallery parses and caches the items on page load, and both of those actions mentioned above will not be done by the optimizer.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.
