    Hello,
    WEBp not showing!
I use Cloudflare only for DNS. Is it possible that the problem comes from there?
If I change DNS to those on my hosting will the problem be fixed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @rzamen1!

This is Joseph from Imagify, and I’ll gladly assist you here!

Would I be correct that you have the “Use <picture> tags” option enabled for displaying WebP images in your Imagify plugin settings page? This is the default setting, and it can sometimes have issues with the timing of when your images are loaded on your page (they may be loaded after Imagify checks for them).

I can also see that some of your images are CSS background images, and the “Use <picture> tags” option cannot work for those either.

If, as you mentioned, you are able to disable Cloudflare, then you could try to switch to the “Use rewrite rules” option for WebP display. This option can’t be used with Cloudflare because it causes caching issues when they are used together, but if you can disable Cloudflare, then I believe you will have better results with your WebP versions of your images being served on your pages.

If you can’t disable Cloudflare, then unfortunately, I don’t believe there will be any other options for you to get your WebP versions displaying.

Please let me know if you have any further questions on this and I’ll be more than happy to assist!

    Best regards,

    Hi,

I had a similar issue since I was running CloudFlare and trying to get Imagify with the setting of “Use <picture> tags (preferred)”. I found a solution:

Try turning off Lazy Load Images settings on either your theme and/or other plugins. Once I did this to my theme’s settings, it started to serve the .webp version for me.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,
I changed DNS more than 40 hours ago. and the Use rewrite rules option is activated.
It still does not serve WEBp!
I use WP Rocket and there is an option “Enable this option if you would like WP Rocket to serve WebP images to compatible browsers.”
Do I need to activate it?

    Hey @rzamen1,

I’m sorry to hear that the “Use rewrite rules” option is not working for you!

Yes, as an alternative, you can try using WP Rocket’s “Enable WebP cache” option. You’ll first need to disable WebP display in your Imagify settings in order to activate this option.

After you’ve done this, make sure you clear all caches (WP Rocket’s and any other cache layers there may be) and then see if WebP images are being displayed.

Please let me know how this works for you, and I am happy to be of further assistance if needed!

    Best regards,
    Joseph

    Hello,
I stopped displaying images in webp format on the site from imagify and activation from WP Rocket, clearing the cache and reloading.
    Everything still shows jpeg.
I use a VPS Lite Speed server if I have the knowledge.

Should I stop a lazy load, as he pointed out (@huyngofrea) in WP Rockets?
I didn’t do it because I saw information that WordPress included it in its code and WP Rockett turned it off automatically.

    Hey @rzamen1,

@huyngofrea is correct that lazy loading can cause issues with the “Use picture tags” option, but it shouldn’t be an issue for WP Rocket’s “Enable WebP cache” option.

Thanks for the info about your LiteSpeed server. I’m curious if maybe there is a LiteSpeed cache layer that might need to be cleared as well?

I can see that the WebP versions of your images definitely exist, so I’m having trouble seeing any other reason why 2 different options from 2 different plugins for WebP display would not be working properly.

Please check if there are any other cache layers that can be cleared, and if that’s not the issue, we can see if we can find any other reason this might not be working for you!

    Best regards,

It should inform you that everything worked perfectly before the problem with imagify when it was not creating WEBp – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/an-error-occurred-could-not-initialize-a-new-curl-handle/. After update it started creating them but did not show them.

When I open the photo in a new tab it has a .jpeg extension instead of a .webp
But everything is OK, I fixed the speed issues

    Hi @rzamen1,

I can see that most of the images on your page are now in WebP:

    View post on imgur.com

However, there are a couple that are still not. For example:

    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/%D0%92%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0-%D0%BA%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%B9%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B0-%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0-750×430.jpg

The backup does exist, indicating that the image has been optimized:

    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/backup/2021/05/%D0%92%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0-%D0%BA%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%B9%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B0-%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0.jpg

But the WebP version doesn’t exist:

    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/%D0%92%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0-%D0%BA%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%B9%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B0-%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0.jpg.webp

So I think you might want to try restoring images like this to original and then re-optimizing (with the WebP generation setting enabled), and the WebP version should hopefully then be created and displayed on your site.

    Similarly, this one:

    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/sdp.png

Doesn’t have a WebP version, but in this case, it also doesn’t have an original backup either:

    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/backup/2019/05/sdp.png
    https://spiritell.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/sdp.png.webp

So it seems like this image may not have been optimized yet. I think once you optimize it, the WebP version should be created.

On your end, since you’re using WP Rocket’s “Enable WebP cache” option, remember that you need to test in a different browser (or being logged out of your WordPress Admin) because WP Rocket won’t show you the cached pages if you’re logged into your WP Admin (incognito mode won’t work either), and with this option, WebP are only served with the cached pages (this is what your users see, just not you when you’re logged in).

    Best regards,
    Joseph
