WebP not supported on server

    Hey man,

    I lost some time figuring out how to enable webP on hostgator and even though
    they have php version 7.1.14 they install the imagick and GD but is older versions without WebP support…

    Unfortunately it took me lot time to discover this and I’m disapointed that I ended up without solution.

    And they said only VPS or Dedicated servers that they have this “technology”..

    I want to check the cost and it’s like 29$ per month (minimum package) to get this WebP support… is there any good hosting that you recommend that is awesome for WordPress and has this GD and imagick extension with webP support like around 5$ per month?

    Hi @dangarces,

    Thank you for your message.

    Unfortunately, in case of problems with the server configuration I am not able to help. There are a huge number of possible environments and server configurations. This is not a simple task.

    I am a Web Developer and I am involved in the creation of plugins, among others. I do it with passion in my free time. I am not able to explore server configurations enough to be an expert in this.

    I hope that you understand me. Please check other forums and someone will help you for sure.
