    Hello,

    I’ve just finished converting my images to WebP, but they’re not showing as WebP, thery’re still showing as jpg’s.

    On imagify, I’ve got Back Up Original Images checked, along with Create WebP versions and Display WebP versions, also I’ve got the <picture> tag selected to show them.

    I’m using WPBkery page builder and near the top ive got a blog slider which is not showing WebP images and an example is…

    <img src="my-website/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Butcher-Babies-500x350.jpg" alt="Headspin - Butcher Babies" width="500" height="350" />

    …and there’s no WebP or <picture> mentioned anywhere, just a jpg.

    Is there something else to do before I can use WebP?

  • I am also asking this question, but almost 2 weeks have not yet got results. =))

    – – Try adding .webp behind the image link. See the result!

    For example: abc.com/pic-1.jpg
    -> check abc.com/pic-1.jpg.webp

    Just ran my search console network tab to see exactly whats being WebP’d and less than 50% of the images on my homepage are coming back as WebP using this <picture> tag ‘solution’.

    Leads me to think that this is something of a scam?

    Dunno, maybe thats why @tinhacc100 hasnt got a reply yet either.

    There’s no way I’m investing in a monthly plan or a one time plan unless this gets fixed.

    No need to reply on this – I’m using Short Pixel now.
