@topfgartenwelt some other plugin is lazy loading images causing images not to load from CDN. Use only one plugin for lazy loading.
Ok, thank you very much! WP Rocket is also Lazy Loading the images. I will try do turn it off.
Greetings Kathrin
I have deactivated the Lazy Load from WP Rocket and this is not the problem. The pictures aren’t loaded as WebP and even if the lazy load option from WP Rocket is active I can see that the pictures are loaded from the CDN (Page Speed Insights / webpagetest.org) but only as JPEG.
Greetings Kathrin
@topfgartenwelt if the images are loaded from CDN and images are not in WebP, contact Statically CDN http://statically.io
Hi Gijo, but it is your plugin and you promise that Flying Images converts to WebP via CDN. But in fact it stopped doing that after (maybe) the last update. Why I should contact statically?
Greetings Kathrin
@topfgartenwelt Flying Images uses free Statically CDN to provide WebP. There is no way we can debug it further.
Both are free services.
@topfgartenwelt webp conversion has not been working properly for over 2 months now. Some pictures get converted and some not. Statically developer is not answering any questions even thought he’s very active on twitter. No idea what’s going on. Too bad though, because his service was extremely good, I would gladly pay for it to have it.
@woorooo Thank’s for the information. I recognized it just a week ago, but I think I lost some traffic since the images aren’t processed properly (LCP problems). It was really an extremely good service. I have moved to another plugin – this time a premium one…
Greetings Kathrin
@topfgartenwelt can you share what service do you use instead? I’ve been looking for a similar one, but the ones I found did not match the performance of statically.
@woorooo I’m trying short pixel adaptive images, but here is the problem that images that are excluded from lazy loading are not sized properly. But it is fast. I also tried WP Compress but it slows down my website.
