Website and WordPress time out

    Hi everyone,

    Apologies in advance for the long post but just want to clarify as much as poissible.

    I’m currently unable to access one of my websites or the WordPress login from my home network. I get the error that it has timed out. It’s a fresh install of WordPress. When I use my mobile phone as a hotspot and try to access the site it works and I can access WordPress too. Also when I connect my VPN I can access it and I asked a friend to test it at his home and he had no trouble.

    However my other website and WordPress login I have no problem accessing on the home network at any time. Both use the same hosting company.

    I’ve cleared cache, cookies etc. Tried 3 different computers at home and 3 different web browsers (Safari, Chrome and Firefox) on both Windows and Mac.

    I will note that when I check port 80 at ‘canyouseeme.org’ I get Error: connection timed out’

    I don’t understand though, why one of my websites I have no trouble accessing while the other times out.

    Not sure where to go from here, any thoughts are greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

    Hi Matt,

    Could be that your host has blacklisted your IP address for that website. I’ve had this happen to me when I was working on a website and refreshed it a lot. Could you try contacting your host and see if this is the case?
