    Hi everyone,

I’m having a serious issue with my website and could really use some help.

Out of nowhere, my site stopped loading correctly and is now just displaying raw code instead of rendering the pages. This started after I made some minor updates to a specific page. I didn’t do anything technical or involving code, just added some content.

At first, only that one page was affected. But after refreshing a few times, the issue spread across the entire site. Now every page I try to load shows nothing but lines of code.

I tried deleting the page I was working on, thinking it might be causing the issue, but that didn’t help. I’m completely at a loss as to what went wrong.

I’m also wondering if it could be related to the recent Elementor update, as I noticed the issue started not long after the update was installed.

For context, I’m running the site locally using WAMP.

If anyone has any advice or has experienced something similar, I’d really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance

    Hello There ,
Have you tried running the Elementor plugin in safe mode?

What codes are displayed exactly? Feel free to show a screenshot of them, see:

If you are using a caching plugin, disable it first as a test.

Do you see any server-side errors? They should be in the error log of your local server.

This appears to be a server-side error, which likely occurred in the middle of page generation, rendering the partially completed layout illegible. I would recommend reviewing the error log again. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.

Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.

In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.

When I enabled debugging, my site started working again, but now all my SVG icons are showing up as stars for some reason. I have no idea why that’s happening. As soon as I turn debugging off in wp-config the site breaks again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you need to see my log file, what’s the best way to share it here?

Check the log file to see if there are any error messages and, if so, what they are. You may be able to identify the cause there.

If not, you are welcome to show the relevant section of the log file here using a code block, see: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#code-block
