• After normal use last week and no changes, edits, or updates, on the website, our website, p2.org, seems to have disappeared. When you search for our organization through a search engine (“National Pollution Prevention Roundtable”), our website domain does not show up. When I try to access the website or the administrator log in, it says the connection has timed out.

Help! What caused this and how can it be fixed?

  • Have you asked your hosting company about this?

Our contractor is not available this week, and I was hoping to get the issue resolved sooner. Do you have any idea what would cause the website to disappear or how to fix it?

This shows that the server is not responding – which suggests a server problem:

    Where is your site hosted?

Dalton, Massachusetts. So would this be a problem that the site host must resolve then?

I meant company :). Without any additional info, yes, it seems the problem is on their end. Do you have access to your site via FTP or Cpanel? If so, are you able to access it that way?

I do not have access to our site via either of those options that I know of (but I’m somewhat technologically-illiterate if you can’t tell). Our website and URL are owned by Terrachord, LLC in Dalton, MA. But again, they are not available this week, and so I was hoping to fix the problem myself… But if the server is just down, is that something that will resolve itself?
