• My website worldbanknews.org has disappeared. This is one of the error messages I am getting:

http://www.worldbanknews.org is unavailable or may not exist

I think what has happened is that I changed banks and therefore my debit card. The payments should have automatically switched to the new card, but…

I received no email notification from WordPress that a payment had not gone through, which is what happened with my other website provider.

How can I get in touch with them and get the website up and running again?

Please could you give advice in non-technical terms.

Dear Jack, many thanks for your reply, I’ve checked again, and actually it looks like I did set up the website for free with ww.wp.xz.cn. So how do I get in touch with ww.wp.xz.cn about the disappearance of my site?

When I looked up the domain name WORLDBANKNEWS.ORG
on http://www.whoislookup.com/, i notice that your nameservers were set to the following:
    Name Server:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    Name Server:NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

best place to get more info is WordPress.com support.

I tried to get more info at WordPress.com.support but have had no reply and I notice others with the same problem have been told that for a self-hosted site (which mine is) I need to be accessing help from ww.wp.xz.cn.

So is there anyone out there who can help me please?

I can log in to my site but it is not appearing on the internet. Internet Explorer says the page cannot be displayed, and cannot diagnose the reason.Firefox/duckduckgo says page not found.

if you’re nameservers are pointing to wordpress.com then that’s where you need to look for help.

if your site is installed and hosted on a completely different set up like godaddy or hostgator and you’re doing it all yourself then you need to point your domain name at the hosting where your site is and you should have received all that information in the welcome email when you set up the hosting. you’ll need to do that at the domain registrar where you bought the domain name.
