First, I am a neophyte, so please be patient with me and provide lots of details. My website is down. I’m running on Amazon LightSail and the site has been running for months with no issues. This occurred after updating a group of plugins. Sometimes I get “Error establishing a database connection”. Other times I am able to briefly see my web pages or my admin page but before I can do anything it goes to a white screen. I suspect I need to disable my plugins to find the culprit but I can’t get access long enough to do anything. I tried to FTP in but I can’t get that to work either. I’m running JetPack (Free) so I thought I could restore from a backup, but I can’t seem to figure out how that is supposed to work. Seems I’m up a ____ creek with no paddle.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I couldn’t even get my tools to look at your site but I’m thinking you probably have two plugins ‘fighting each other’.

I don’t know anything much about Amazon hosting but isn’t there a control panel that will let you rename the plugins folder? Via a file manager? If you can rename just the plugins folder temporarily then you’ll probably see things running better if I’m right.

Else you’ll need to ask for hosting support to take a look.

Thanks for responding! I can get into the SSH Ubunto/Bitnami screen. Is there a way to rename the folder from there? (remember…neophyte. :). )
