Website Down after plugin update

    My website crashed right after updating the WooCommerce plugin. I was able to get Bluehost to get it back up, but the shop is not functional because Woo isn’t working.

    I decided to restore a backup, but that has not worked either.

    It’s important to note that for about a month prior to the update, the products on my Shop Page kept randomly disappearing and I’ve searched for help everywhere to no avail. We have had to check the Shop Page HOURLY and update through WordPress to get the page functioning again. It’s been so stressful- but at least it was working half the time- now it’s not working at all.

    We’ve changed themes, deactivated all the plugins except Woo., tested with a staging site but because Woo was in safe mode, the problem did not occur on the staging site.

    My shop has been completely down for about 14 hours now. How can I get help with this?

    That’s odd, removing content is not something WooCommerce will do automatically. I’m curious to get a better understanding of the site.

    Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your response.

    My shop has been completely down for about 14 hours now. How can I get help with this?

    I see what you mean I tried navigating to https://understandingb6toxicity.com/shop/ but I’m seeing a 404 error.

    Can you try first resetting your permalinks? From Settings> Permalinks, scroll down without making any change and click on save changes. Let me know if that works!

    Can you also navigate to WooCommerce> Status> Logs and look for the most recent Fatal error item in the list? You can use https://pastebin.com/ to paste the results.

    BlueHost has since gotten the website back up along with Shop Page (they say they updated our PHP to 7.4 to do that, but that was the php version we already had installed, so I’m not sure what happened there).

    Anyway, about an hour after they got the site back up, the products on the Shop Page disappeared again. So we’re back to that. Here is the information you requested:

    Thank you for your reply. It looks like the fatal error log cannot be viewed any more, but looking at your system status, I see that you do have existing products.

    If you see any products under WP-Admin > Products > All Products?

    Can you try clearing transients from WooCommerce > Status > Tools to see if that helps?

    The website is down with a 404 as of this morning. Working with BlueHost to get it back up so that I can access it and clear the transients. Not sure why the site keeps going down though.
