Website is INCREDIBLY slow

    Hello,

    I am in need of some serious assistance with my site libya.tv/en/. I am a rookie on WordPress, and am struggling to understand why the website is running so slow. Peer1 said there is no problem on the hosting side, it just appears something is dragging everything down. The Dashboard and website are slow. It was showing a ‘500 server error’ message, but now it just doesn’t load, although sometimes (maybe 10-20% of the time) it loads fast.

    Currently without any technical support, and extremely cautious to not make the problem even worse. If anyone can spot any obvious blunders or errors, please do let me know. It would be extremely helpful!

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    The problem could still be your web host (they won’t usually admit an overloaded server). Also try this plugin to give you a better idea of what aspect of your site is causing the most load: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/p3-profiler/ Use http://gtmetrix.com/ to verify that it’s not your connection.

    Thanks kindly people. Esmi, the problem was just down to a plugin. Currently sifting through to see what it is, but it is nothing of any significance.

    Very happy I decided to post on here as it has saved me a whole lot of stress!

    Hi guys, sorry but what I thought I had fixed seems to have reoccured, despite it not being the plug ins. Although all pages seem to be slow and other times incredibly fast (can’t really pin down the pattern), the home page only seems to be partially loading a lot of the time.

    The URL is libya.tv/en/ if any can spot anything that may be of an error? Again, it may be something simple but it I have been trying to sort the problem but just hit walls due to lack of understanding.

    I appreciate any assistance.
