• I uninstalled Autooptimize then discovered that my site only shows HTML text. I discovered that Autooptimize left a 404 handler and a folder in the include/cache.

I deleted that and still noticed that my site has not been fixed, still showing text.. I have been on this for close to a week now.

    Kindly assist

    Good Day,

I reinstalled Autoptimize and my website began to load.. However on GTmetrix I get this redirect response.
My CSS and Js is not reverting to the default after uninstalling and when I uninstall the site breaks.

Remove the following redirect chain if possible:

    https://atobe.ng/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_a2ebe11fd12b9886417c65b302f8e2d9.css
    https://atobe.ng/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_fallback.css
Remove the following redirect chain if possible:

    https://atobe.ng/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_single_a54402a7c31c9de8f2d07033b6f1bbec.css?ver=1604790586

    Kind Regards

This has not been resolved. I Have replied to your emails, no response. I don’t understand why this plugin would leave remnants in the website..

Afraid replying to mails does not work here xolomonstrides, you indeed have to come here to reply as you did just now.

Regarding your issue; as I wrote earlier when not active Autoptimize cannot add links to Autoptimized files, so what your are seeing can only be a version of the HTML from a page cache. See below screenshots; one of the normal URL which indeed still has references to Autoptimize in it, but which in the HTTP response headers (x-nginx-upstream-cache-status: HIT) and a second where we bypass the page cache by adding random parameters to the URL and where there are not references to Autoptimize any more.

Conclusion; find the page cache, clear it (or have it cleared) and all will be fine 🙂

    have a nice day!
    frank
