website login problen

Although our members are set up as Subscribers, eno one can accessing subscriber only pages getting “This content is restricted to subscribers”. This has been for the last month. Even myself as Admin cannot see these pages on FireFox or Edge, I can see them in Google Chrome only because this is the browser I am logged into WordPress with.
The website has been working fine for a number of years, we are not aware that we have changed anything recently. We were on WordPress version 5.8.5 when this started happening but have updated in the last couple of days to the latest version of WordPress and updating all the plugins, but has not resolved anything
