I was able to get it to work after some trial and error. I think what worked for me was changing the backup download technique under the other options menu. (Use direct downloading, removing .htaccess protection.)
I’ve done a few site migrations using different plugins, and I really like this one, very user friendly. Thanks for a great product!

Hi @nataleah1
My apologies I couldn’t reply to you earlier, yes the solution you applied is correct.
Let me post full solution for someone looking for similar solution.
The issue is caused by web server of your source website.
Due to download size limit, Super-Quick Migration couldn’t finish download.
We have alternate download method that may resolve the issue.
Please carefully follow the steps below for each site.
On the site where you made the backup:
- Go to our plugin settings and open “Other options” section
- Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w
- Save that section
– No need to make new backup
Now, go to the site where you want to restore your backup:
- Open “Other options” section as well
- Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
- Save that section
- Force both processes to stop: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm
- Try to run the migration again with the same URL
If that won’t work, please repeat the “force both processes to stop” step.
Once you do that, download your backup and try to upload it manually.
You can upload your backup via FTP, cPanel or our Upload Area.
Thank you!
