    Hi,

I was trying to figure out how to add the code into my theme. I was in functions in the editor and now it keeps showing me this message:

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/ventureo/public_html/wp-content/themes/eventbrite-multi/functions.php on line 9”

I checked and I didn’t see an extra ‘<‘, and now I can’t access the site or my dashboard at all. Do you know a way around this? My site is ventureout.co

Hey there, it looks like there is a problem with your code in functions.php (part of your theme) – which I think is unrelated to the plugin, you’ll have to go through your functions.php file and find the error and fix it – sorry I can’t help you more with that.

If you do still think that it is a problem somewhere with the plugin, simply delete the plugin from the correct folder via ftp (or rename the folder) and that should stop WordPress from loading it:

    /wp-content/plugins/search-filter

    Thanks

WP won’t let me log in at all to edit anything. Is there another way I can edit functions.php?

    Thanks

    Hey sheroukomara

This is more a general WordPress question and I can only provide support specifically for this plugin here, but to answer your question anyway, you should be able to edit the functions.php file via ftp by going in to your theme folder.

If you’re not sure how to do this I’d suggest reading through the WordPress documentation on how to modify themes.

    Thanks and good luck
