    Hi there!

I’ve already seen that there was a little problem in the 7.2 patch, I might have found another one. Or at least something that’s weird:

I’ve used the plugin on the webpage of some towns. The main page is the ohne I entered in the “Link Page” field – the others are in the menu to the right, for example “Erpel” or “Rheinbreitbach” will send you to the subpage of that town and show the events filtered for it.

This morning I got a message about the events being empty in the backend and had a look at it. Saw the message here about the problem and the 7.21 patch. Installed it. Now for ME the calendar works agains as designed. In the rhein.info backend I have the list of all events for all towns in the multisite.

BUT (and here the “weird” part starts):

The customer, he has full admin rights like me, still gets an empty list. We tried the usual stuff – clearing all cache, server and browser, no changes. I then went and rolled back to 7.17 which also didn’t work. Went further and further and under 7.05 the customer can now see the events in the list again. When I update to the new version they’re gone again – for HIM. (I can always see them!).

So right now I leave it under Version 7.05 and we’ll wait to see whether you can do something about that somehow. 🙂

    CHeers – Michael

    Hi Michael,

That is odd! Did you update from 7.1.7 to 7.2 previously, when it did work? Or did you update from 7.0.5?

What happens if another admin user logs in (or if you create a new one)?

I would suggest triple-checking caching… I had that issue today where a page was just persistently caching and not clearing itself, for example you could try adding something like ?test=1 to your URL to (usually) see a non-cached page.

Hi there – the previous update was from version 7.1.7, that makes it so “weird” imo. 🙂 I will check creating another admin and try it with this one. 🙂

I have already checked the other user with a plugin that lets me take over accounts for this reason and on my side it worked. My guess would be something cache related too, on the other guy’s end. I already instructed him how to really delete a browser’s cache, but who knows… 🙂

I will, aditionally, in the evening (busy with another customer atm) create a new admin account and check that one and let you know if anything un-expected happens.

All is good – this was NOT a problem with the calendar at all. 😀

The user didn’t login with his admin account, but an account with almost no rights. 😀
