Weird symbols

Need clarification and possible fixes for the following on a couple of WP things…

Perhaps its just my WP sites ?
but does anyone else see these weird symbols every time one updates a page or a post?

…recently I have been editing and updating a few of my sites and when I click the update button I see many little weird symbols peppered through out my content.

Prior to updating, these little weird symbols were not on my page/post
but after the the post has been updated/uploaded? they unwittingly appear!
I must say this is very annoying!

This weirdness occurs on all my WP sites not just one..

As a result I have to scrutinize every post/page update to make sure these little pesky character symbols do not re-appear?

Many times even after moving the space bar to remove the characters they more often than not, re-appear!
Then I have to remove them again click the update button and wait for the upload!

In many cases their either gone, and in many cases they are really hard to extinguish.
Eventually they do disappear! but after several update attempts.
There have been times where I have had to update the same page/post over a dozen times?

Is this normal?

I have to ask this WP developer community, why does this happen?

I not only notice that its an ongoing occurrence on my sites but when I read other WP blogs, I notice these weird characters/symbols on their pages/posts as well!
I must assume that they must of forgotten to remove them or didn’t notice them.
So I know that other sites are affected by this same phenomenon as well?

I have asked this same question / observation in other venues and the response I got was to always copy your content onto a simple non HTML notepad before pasting to the content page/ post, to avoid any possibility of unwanted and strange symbol code that could possibly attach itself to ones content… Makes sense!

So I do this every time I post, but this maneuver does not remedy this situation as these little pesky symbol/characters continue to re-appear no matter what I do?

Do we have to contend with this phenomenon or is there a solution?
at one time this never happened its only as of recent times?

Can anyone offer an explanation?
