I created a dev site with WF active with no problems. The live site is mirrored from the dev site. As soon as the live site became active (via a name server record change) WF firewall killed functionality, even in learn mode, so I disabled it.

    1. I’m not familiar with mirroring, so can you explain how I can get WF active again?
    2. Is there a significant memory hit using WF?

    Thx.

  • Hi,
Could you please provide more details regarding how “WF firewall killed functionality”? what happens on your live website when Wordfence Firewall is enabled? any error message?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the interest. I posted when I was a “deer-in-the-headlights” with the new site malfunctioning.

I did activate WF firewall from the actual mirror this time, rather than the dev site that to was mirrored from. (devsite.hostname.com mirrored to livesite.org) So far so good.

I’ll repost if I have problems.

    Thank you.
