WF warning re Cloudfare

    I checked the support board before turning Cloudfare on at SiteGround this morning and located instructions for turning on the WF “Use the Cloudfare CF-Connecting-IP” setting.

    Six hours after enabling Cloudfare, getting Cloudfare account confirmation, and enabling the proper WF option, the WF scan is still issuing “A test request to this website was detected on a different value for this setting <snip> This site appears to be behind a front-end proxy so using the X-Real_IP HTTP header will resolve to the correct IPs”.

    I am befuddled.

    Hi taastrategies,
    Please share a screenshot showing the “IP Detection” section in (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics) so I can look further into this issue.

    Thank you for the response. I have since shifted my DNS name servers from the registrar to the host and reconfigured CloudFlare. I’ve had some difficulty in completing a WF scan following the changes; however I’ve just gotten a complete scan and the error no longer exists. Thank you.
