What am I doing wrong

Hi,
I’m trying to redirect to new pages created as a child site for now until I switch the domains when the new site is ready. There are links in blog posts that I’d like to redirect the the new pages. In the blog post http://backyardsfornature.org/?p=1003 find lawns in the post, the URL goes to http://www.valleyforgeaudubon.org/bfn/articles/lawn.html (old site) when I create the redirect to go to http://new.valleyforgeaudubon.org/lawn-who-needs-it/ (new site which is a child site for now) it doesn’t work.

Any ideas??
