What counts as an Interaction?

    I have a slide-in box with a message and a button. The button activates a pop-up form with a custom Mailchimp signup form.

    The only way for the popup to be seen is for someone to click the button on the slide-in.

    The stats show views and interactions for the popup, so I know it is being seen and used. (And, Mailchimp shows the same.) And yet, the slide-in shows zero interactions. That cannot be, because it had to be interacted with in order for the popup to be seen.

    It’s not a big deal, as I can tell how many times the button was clicked by how many times the popup was seen. Still, it seems odd.

    By the way, love-love-love the tool.

    We can’t always capture the interactions with things inside the box, we capture interactions with the box itself (such as when someone closed the box). But still there probably is something wrong there is it always stays 0.

    Maybe you could try to delete / re-create the box and see if that helps. It that doesn’t fix it and this is important to you please email us at support @ boxzillaplugin .com
