I have installed woo on my WP site and so has my friend. For him, WooCommerce mentions ‘cart’ and for me it mentions ‘basket.’ What causes woo to default to either, is it perhaps because when I installed WP for Site Language I selected “English (UK)” ?
Is there an easy way for me to get woo to say ‘cart’ ?
The terminology difference you’re experiencing between ‘cart’ and ‘basket’ is likely due to the language settings in your WordPress installation. WooCommerce uses the language your site is set to, and based on the locale, it might refer to the shopping cart as a ‘basket’. If you wish to change it, you can adjust the language settings in your WordPress dashboard.

Thank-you @ckadenge , I’ve tried changing from British English to US English, but basket did not change to cart. Can you please tell me what langauge setting to choose so that cart displays ?
It seems like you didn’t update the Translations after changing your language settings. To do so, please navigate to Dashboard > Updates and click on the “Update translation” button at the bottom.
After updating the translation, please head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:
WooCommerce transients – Clear
Expired transients – Clear
Clear template cache – Clear
Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
Clear customer sessions -Clear
Next, please clear your browser cache and check again.
I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
