What each Theme File does?

    I need to add an image as a link to a CSS script that will present an online form to users to fill out right from my main WordPress page. The guy who wrote the code for me installed it but I lost it when I upgraded to 351. So now I have the original code he put into header and footer and styles but I have one called body but I realize there is no body file. This is what will go on the front page. Which file should I add it to?
