What Function Does ewww_image_optimizer_relative_migration Cron Event Provide?

    Thanks for the great plugin.

    I repeatedly receive warnings in my site health dialog that the ewww_image_optimizer_relative_migration scheduled event has failed to run.

    I’ve looked over that specific cron event using the WP Crontrol plugin and I can see that it runs every five minutes.

    My hosting provider, VentraIP, appear to limit cron jobs to running every fifteen minutes.

    Is this going to create a problem for our website? What function does the ewww_image_optimizer_relative_migration cron event provide?

    I have tried to edit the ewww_image_optimizer_relative_migration cron event in the WP Crontrol settings to execute every fifteen minutes. This is not possible however as we’re simply presented with the following error when attempting to do so – ‘The event you are trying to edit does not exist.’

    Can you please check with your webhost to see if there are any additional errors in the logs? We’ve seen a few of these, but so far I’ve been unable to replicate the issue.

    At any rate, that cron task unschedules itself so that it doesn’t actually run every five minutes, as it’s simply a migration task for sites that have been running EWWW IO a while. Once it completes, it removes itself and is gone.

    All that said, I think I have an idea why it is failing, but if you’re able to dig up any additional info, that would be much appreciated.

    I’ve checked with hosting company and they can’t see any additional errors.

    Thanks for checking on that! I believe I have figured out the source of the glitch, so I’ll include fix for that in the next release.
