You require Google map JavaScript api along with Places API enabled
Thanks for your swift response, but sadly that doesn’t fill me with a whole heap of confidence.
I had just those two enabled initially and the wcfmmmp_locate_icon didn’t work.
I wasted a whole heap of time with support tickets trying to get the issue fixed with someone from WC Lovers who was about as much use as a lead balloon.
I eventually experimented myself by adding Google Geolocation API and lo and behold wcfmmmp_locate_icon then worked correctly.
I asked them which APIs were needed for WCFM to work (don’t know why I thought they’d answer in any useful way!?) and I got this response this afternoon:
“`To clear your confusion :
You have to contact with the google and tell him about your problem they will reffered you the right api and i think that api you should have to buy from google.
So for better information contact with google. After you will get an api that you have to put that api key in Google Map API Key.”
If WC Lovers support don’t know what APIs their software uses, why do they think Google should?! And how are we, the consumers supposed to get anything to work!? 🤦♀️
OK, apologies, I have gone back to just Javascript API and Places API and everything, including wcfmmmp_locate_icon does work with just those two enabled.
Sad that I get better help and support here in the free forum than I do in the ticketed one for paying customers, but at least I get the answers eventually, and here at least everyone else can benefit from them!
