Hi kefir81,
Thanks for your message.
All the shortcodes for BNFW are available here. If you don’t see it there, it hasn’t been added yet or isn’t available.
The one’s you’re probably after are:
Author User Firstname: [user_firstname]
Author User Lastname: [user_lastname]
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Jack
Thanks Jack (voltronik) for your response.
That shortcode was basically equivalent to Post Author: [post_author].
That’s not what I’m wanting. I want my notification to be more personal in which each “USER”‘s name will automatically appear by implementing the appropriate shortcode.
So does that mean that the feature isn’t available yet or am I not explaining myself?
Once again thanks for your feedback. Hopefully if it’s not available you can create an update. 🙂
Hi kefir81,
Ah, I see what you mean.
This is a feature I’d like to add and am currently investigating whether it’s possible or not. It should be part of the ‘Global Shortcodes’ feature that I’d like to implement this year. Unfortunately, I can’t be any more specific than that with regards to time frames at the mo but do keep your ear to the ground for an update.
Hope this helps.
Jack
Hello voltronik,
Once again thanks for your response. I hope the current plugin that I have installed will receive that global shortcodes in its update. Perhaps your implementation will roll out soon.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can make it possible with another method?
Does yours updates usually trigger a notification to appear in the WP admin dashboard?
Hi kefir81,
You can use Email Log to view all the emails that were sent out via WordPress (including those from BNFW) under Tools > Email Log. Other than that, no, BNFW doesn’t log the emails sent out in the WP Admin.
There’s no other way of adding the user’s first or last name that I’m aware of at the moment unfortunately.
Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks,
Jack
