Hi @fabioluizrj,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, and thank you for the kind words!
For your first question, yes, identifying a keyword in a WhatsApp message as shown in the example is supported in the free version. When you set up the WhatsApp trigger, you’ll see tokens like the Message body, Sender’s number, etc. These can be used in actions like sending a message or more. See how to manage and insert tokens here.
For the second part, when sending a template message, after selecting a template from Meta, click the “Get variables” button to load its fields (Header, Body, Buttons). These are editable based on the template’s structure. If the fields don’t show or the button doesn’t work, make sure your Meta setup is connected properly and the template includes variables. This also works in the free version.
Just keep in mind that to use the WhatsApp integration in the free version, you’ll need to have enough app credits available. You can learn more about how credits work here. If you run out, you need to upgrade to pro.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Regards,
Thanks for answering!
As for the “action” message, I’ll check my template settings in Meta Business and see if the “Get Variables” button will work.
As for the WhatsApp message as a “trigger”, no options or list of tokens appear, and no settings for this trigger are displayed to me.
I’ll keep checking to see if anything changes, but for now I can’t use this integration with WhatsApp.
Is there any mistake I might be making?
Hi @fabioluizrj,
The current WhatsApp triggers are only available for the “Everyone” recipe type, so it’s possible you’re testing it within a “Logged in users” recipe, which may not show the options.
You can read more about the recipe types here.
Please verify that, and what you find with the template-related concern!
Regards,
Hi @fabioluizrj,
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so we’ll consider this concern resolved for now. If you still need help, just reply to this message!

Rohan
But what about filter a keyword from the trigger message? There is no token available for Whatsapp that we can filter. The conditions are only shown for General, Automator, Date and Time, Emails, Woo and WordPress. How the token from message trigger become available?
Hi @fabioluizrj,
You should be able to see the “Message” token based on the trigger. See here: https://tinyurl.com/26ssywgx
If you want to check for specific keywords or strings, you can use action filters. See here: Action filters guide
Use the General token “A token meets a condition” and set the Criteria to “contains” to check for any specific values and apply them to your actions.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you mean something else or if you’re still not seeing the option.
Regards,
Rohan
