I think you should look into the theme files. I am having the same problem with the theme “cloudy”. But with the default wordpress theme active it works ok. I didn’t find the source of the problem yet.
Copying the comments.php file from the default theme did the job.

Ok here is my setup, I’ve got my wordpress address pointing to
http://firethecannon.com but the blog address goes to
http://www.firethecannon.com
For my comment settings I have email me whenever someone posts a comment,(which doesn’t work, if you know a fix tell me!! I’ve got the plugin commentnotifier as well)
And all I require is that they leave their name, email, etc.. So everyone else comments work just fine, but when I go to reply to my readers comments it says I must leave my name and email. Im logged in as admin and it won’t let me comment. I log out comment and it shows up as Anonymous so I have to log back in and edit my comment until it shows up under my name. Such a pain to comment back with my readers, any help?!
