When to activate Redirection plugin?

    I have scheduled migration from old domain to new one for next week. When do I activate at make settings for the Redirection plugin, before or after the change.

    I basically just want

    post URLs with permalink structure as domain/post-title/ or domain/event/event-title/ to resolve to new-domain/……
