When using synch , how can we prevent thumbnail creation?

    Is there any way to prevent creation of thumbnails when using synch?
    I really want to just import the images I have (after I cleaned out my folders).
    This would GREATLY speed up the process!!

    I can always regenerate thumbnails later using this plugin, the Command Line, or any number of other plugins!

    If there is currently no way to do so,
    1) would you consider adding that as an option?
    2) Is there some code I can add to prevent all thumbnail generation?
    I could delete or comment out that code when I’m ready to create thumbnails.

    Thumbnail generation is a necessary part of the import process. How would you view your images in the media library if there were no thumbnails available? The Pro version of Media Library Folders includes the ability to prevent the generation of most sizes of thumbnails except for the three default sizes required by WordPress. Otherwise, there is not a way to prevent WordPress from generating thumbnails.
