Will this plugin ever be updated to work with the current version of WooCommerce and WordPress?
I have it installed on my test site running the latest version of WordPress and it’s working fine. 🙂

All plugins developed by WooCommerce (including WooCommerce Shipping & Tax) before any release are tested for compatibility with the latest versions of WooCommerce core and WordPress core.
The “Tested up to: 5.9.4” you see in the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax description page must be manually updated by the plugin developers and it may take some time, but that’s only really a technicality though!
When you see there is no update for some time, it doesn’t mean that the plugin is incompatible or not working with WooCommerce core and WordPress core. Simply, no update is needed.
Is there any specific issue you are experiencing? Oftentimes, conflicts or PHP errors are caused by third-party theme/plugin incompatibilities. You can read more and follow the conflict test guide here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

I have a live site that sells a lot of product and this is an important part. I’m not going to install an untested plugin.
I’ve developed plugins. It doesn’t take that much time to test at the new versions of wp and woo and then update the specs on this site. This is not hard. The fact that its been months and WooCommerce is such a popular plugin I find it odd that they can’t take a few minutes and just get this done.
But I’ve even waited, quietly and patiently for MONTHS…… If you really are dedicated support for woocommerce plugins I’m really annoyed by your responses today.
I’m waiting for the day that someone gives WooCommerce a run for their money. They need competition. I wish I had the time/money to do this. Any one want to back me?

“Test up to” is the WORDPRESS version that its been tested up to. Look at any other plugin. I’ll pick on this one because it was the first in my browser history.

This is a free plugin so no refunds are necessary. No argument is necessary. And it may work just fine as you say.
BUT… My question, a 3rd time, to the PLUGIN CREATOR…. No one else needs to respond. When will this plugin be updated?

Thanks for posting on the support forum. I am Harris, one of the contributors to the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin. I understand you have a question: “When will this plugin be updated?”. Looking at our open source repository (https://github.com/Automattic/woocommerce-services), there are no new changes introduced since Aug 3rd. So there won’t be a release until we see new changes.
In your original post, you had another question: “Will this plugin ever be updated to work with the current version of WooCommerce and WordPress?”. Yes. We will update the “Tested up to”. I created an issue here: https://github.com/Automattic/woocommerce-services/issues/2583.
Once the above is completed, we will release a new version. Stay tuned!
