My apologies, I did not see the thread here:

Question still stands about upgrading if anyone has any info.
The upgrade process is being referred to as “painless,” but I haven’t heard yet if it will be automatic or a simple manual upgrade.
I recommend a manual upgrade. Some might not want to upgrade, afraid that plugins won’t work on 3.0.
The automatic upgrade (via the beta tester plugin) was painless. So was the manual one. π
Ahh ok. So it sounds like the upgrade should be too much of a challenge, but its really the plugins that have to do the catching up?
If you mean the upgrade shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, you are correct.
I’ve not run into any major plugin issues (two minor ones were quickly fixed by the plugin devs when we sorted out what went borky).
Ooops, yes, sounds like the upgrade shouldnt be too much of an issue.
I am using the developmental version 3.0 also and while i am in my admin edit mode for posts and pages, the add media option is hidden behind the Change Permalinks and View Posts buttons. This is happening every time I try to edit a page or post. If I hurry up and click add media in the first 1-2 seconds when I enter the edit screens, I may catch it before the options are hidden behind the other buttons. They appear to be overlapping each other while behind each other. It is bad enough that i am new at this, but having the developmental version is making me more paranoid. Can anyone help me please??
Thanks,
MsWhitt
Oh and I see this at the bottom header: You are using a development version (3.0-RC1-15092). Cool! Please stay updated.
But when I click the stay updated link..it still shows the development version. I feel so lost. π

Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.
