Hello,

Please excuse my ignorance…I just downloaded updraft+, and successfully made a backup, but can you tell me where the backup is stored? I didn’t make any adjustments to the settings — just went straight to backup, and it worked, but I just want to know where the backed up files and data are. Thanks

Hi,

If you didn’t change any settings, then it’s in your web-space, in wp-content/updraft.

It’s really recommmended to change the settings to make an off-site backup, though (e.g. use the Dropbox option). Then if your web hosting company goes bust or their systems explode, you’re covered.
