I have a problem with my maps not showing anymore. The problem is that Google thinks my SSL certificate is expired and my API deleted, therefore I created a new API Key. On normal websites I should call a script with my Key, but inside my WordPress theme I cannot find any code where the Key can be activated.
How come the map was showing before (even before having any API Key at all) and not now? Why isn’t the API automatically linked to my site if that is in my API credentials?

Thank you for the info but I want to avoid plugins, since the map feature is already in my theme. I just don’t understand why Google thinks my SSL is expired.
