• Whenever someone fills out my contact form, I send them an automated email. However, one of my customers let me know he is not receiving the automated mail. He checked his spam folder and it’s also not there.

It might be possible that our email bounces, because our mail is rejected by his mail server. However, I don’t find a bounce message anywhere. I tested this with an email address of which I know it’s false and I don’t get a bounce.

Now I am wondering, where do bounces go? Is there a way for me to know if someone’s email address bounces?

  • @toscaburen Good question,

I’m not sure I know either, my only guess is that bounced Mail is lost in the either, or stored in logs somewhere serverside. Where though, I couldn’t say; but if someone else knows this I would also be keen to know.

    Regards,
