where do the wordpress passwords go?

    My client has put a rather unique question.

    It is important to him that all information for his website user accounts remain on his website servers.

    Where do the WP passwords get stored after someone registers?

    Passwords are stored in your MySQL database in the wp_users table (or equivalent if a custom prefix is used)
