Where does form data go?

    Hello,

    I have a multistep contact form 7 form where clients are required to fill in some personal information to generate a QR code (name, email, postal code, etc.).

    I host the site on Hostgator’s servers and was wondering if you could tell me where this data goes after being submitted? My client has asked me to get rid of the data if it is indeed stored on our server.

    Hi,

    The data is stored in the browser until the final form is submitted. Once submitted, the data is erased from the browser.

    If you’re only using Contact Form 7 and this plugin, the data is not stored on the server. However, if you have other plugins that save data submitted through Contact Form 7, data may be saved in your database on the server.
