I know the email to yourself was removed deliberately, because if you made a comment, then you didn’t need to know that you made a comment.
Pinging one’s own blog still works in 2.0.2–at least for me.

The pinging doesn’t work. Do i need to check a box, perhaps? I cannot find it.
In the dashboard, go to Options —> Discussion and make sure that the box enabling trackbacks and pings is checked. Then, when you make a post referencing another post, you have to also add the trackback url of the referenced post in the trackback bar (under the create post box) for the new post.

If you need more information about trackbacks and how to find your trackback url, you can check the Codex, but the url is usually just the permalink url with /trackback tagged onto the end.

It always worked without adding the url. I already checked that box, but nothing seems to work.
??? Now suddenky a comment is added, that i pinged 3 days ago! Where is this delay coming from?

Yes, now at last it works. I didn’t change a thing. So the delayed comment probably constipated the stream. I think. Thanks!
