where to begin

I have been running a wordpress.com blog for a while, but decided to go down the ww.wp.xz.cn route. I have purchased a recommended host – hostgator – and designated an installation page (i.e. mydomain.com/home)

Don’t have a clue what to do next – how do I adjust my blog? I don’t see any menus etc. Only a piece of the wordpress.com blog has transferred over (which I expected)

Sorry for such a basic question. Any help is much appreciated.
